Our adventure
1982
Jacques Bernier set up a mobile workshop (Atelier Mobile in french) and traveled to farms to repair machinery, hence the name AM Machinery. He then built a permanent workshop and expanded his business to include the sale and repair of tractors and other farm equipment.
1990
Mr. Bernier began manufacturing a continuous wrapper for round hay bales. He was one of the first to manufacture this type of machine in North America. Shortly thereafter, he began marketing his wrapper under license, naming it the “Stretch-O-Matic®.
2008
Acquisition of J.M.S. Trailer Inc., allowing for the addition of a new product line and the relocation of the head office to the current factory.
2026
New management and a new brand image for the company, but the same reliability of our equipment. AMAPEX Machinery brings a breath of fresh air to the company, which will continue to offer the same customized equipment and maintain its operations in the L'Islet region.
